Modern or Old School ? :)

Set You Free

       Many new discoveries are leading the traditional way of living of Filipinos. Nowadays , the simple and native culture that Filipinos once experienced are ignored. Only the modern games are being noticed , especially by kids. To a child like me , can I really face the modern world? Or should I stay to my old school style?

      Many years ago , technology is not yet known. Native games were the ones popular. Patintero , Tumbang Preso , Luksong Baka are some examples of famous native games. Way back 2001 , I’m happy playing with my friends. But now I can’t last a day without holding my laptop and checking out my facebook account. I'm now ignoring whenever my playmates say "Rieka , let's play hopskotch popularly known as "piko". Every other pupil like me feels the same way. Some also says “I’ll die without internet”.

    Technology really affected kids in the modern times. The way they act. The way they dress themselves. The way they study is the most affected. They’ll complain or be annoyed if their parents will tell them “Hey , do your homework”. The most popular reply is “Mom/Dad , can you wait for a while? I have to check my facebook account”. I don’t now why teenagers are so addicted to use internet. All I know is internet is to Inform and Get Connected.

   Teenagers today don’t know the games their parents played during the olden times. But if they’d ask , they’ll know that old games are better than playing in online gaming sites such as y8.com , y3.com , miniclips.com etc. The disorganized world of social network leads you to a problem on yourself so if I were you ,I’ll choose native games. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traditional_games_in_the_Philippines

  Whatever you want  , Angry birds or Patintero it’s up to you.  Modern or Oldschool is our choice. We have the right to choose into what life we are happy. We are free to decide. But be sure whatever you sure will not just make you Happy , it must also set you free.
